Summa! Sunshine, smiles, and smoothies woot woot! I think I’ve finally perfected my berry banana smoothie, and you’ve gotta give it a try!
Filled with antioxidants and protein, this is the perfect breakfast/snack/dessert!
Tips & Tricks:
- use frozen bananas, they make your smoothie sweet and add thickness when they’re frozen (it’s the secret to all your fav smoothie & acai bowl places)
- look for PLAIN Greek yogurt with 0g added sugar. low fat or no fat is totally up to you; I tend to prefer low fat since the fat helps keep you full as well.
As usual, here’s the excel spreadsheet to go along with this smoothie. At less than $2 per smoothie compared with any of your fav smoothie shops, talk about summertime savings!
Ingredients (single serving):
- 3/4c frozen berries
- 1/2 frozen banana (half a bunch and freeze them beforehand)
- 2/3c plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2c unsweetened vanilla almond milk (just eyeball this)
- 1/4c water (also eyeball this)
- Feel free to add spinach for some extra greens!
